1. Red Fox Inn & Tavern

Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis was a regular guest at the Red Fox Inn & Tavern. Once you taste their food, you’ll understand why.
The prix fixe meal I had at Red Fox Inn & Tavern will go down in history as one of my favorite meals of all time. Caramelized sea scallops, lamb meatballs, and a flourless chocolate torte. Just thinking of that meal makes me want to pack my bags for Middleburg right now.
No matter where else you eat in Middleburg, make sure that one of those places is the Red Fox Inn & Tavern!

2. Red Horse Tavern

If you’re looking for more casual fare, I recommend the Red Horse Tavern.
The Red Horse Tavern has exceptional burgers. And their beer battered fries are out-of-this-world amazing.
Even if you don’t order a burger or a meal with fries, you *need* to order the beer battered fries as a side dish. You won’t regret it.

3. King Street Oyster Bar

King Street Oyster Bar started on King Street in Leesburg, Virginia (hence the name). It is so good that it has now grown to three locations, including one in Middleburg.
Every day (yes, every day), there’s a happy hour from 3:00 to 6:30 pm.
During weekend happy hours, you’ll find half of Middleburg at the King Street Oyster bar. Get there early to make sure you get a seat!

4. Red Bar Sushi

When you ask someone for food recommendations in Middleburg, Red Bar Sushi is one of the first places that will be named.
I recommend stopping at Red Bar Sushi for lunch. Lunch specials are available until 2:30 pm.
You can take your Bento Box or Sushi Combo outside to eat and watch people stroll by. It’s a nice, relaxing lunch in a beautiful town.

5 & 6. Best Thai Kitchen & Thaiverse
Middleburg, Virginia has a population of just over 800 people. And yet manages to support not one but two Thai restaurants!
But when the restaurants are this good, people come from miles around!
The two Thai restaurants in Middleburg are Best Thai Kitchen and Thaiverse. They’re right across the street from each other. I recommend trying both to decide which one is your favorite.

7. Goodstone Inn & Restaurant

If you love the dining experience as much as you love the food, then check out the restaurant at the Goodstone Inn & Restaurant.
The Goodstone Inn & Restaurant is about a ten-minute drive from Middleburg’s historic downtown. The drive will take you along scenic country roads with beautiful forests and grazing cows.
Once you’ve finished dining, spend some time wandering around the beautiful property. The pool house alone is an architectural masterpiece.

8. Salamander Resort & Spa

The Salamander Resort & Spa opened in 2013 as a luxury getaway.
At its restaurant, you’ll find a world-class dining experience within a luxurious environment.
